宇野三ツ星盆踊り・ Uno Mitsuboshi Bon Dance

This is a traditional Obon dance held in the Uno district of Yurihama. Named the Uno Mitsuboshi Bon dance, this has been designated as an intangible folk cultural asset. According to Yurihama’s elders, this dance has been passed down since the Edo or Meiji period. Accompanied by a song based on spoken lyrical chants, it is performed each year across three days during the Bon season at Anrakuji Temple.
