☆水郷祭 ・ Lakeside Festival Suigōsai☆

2015.07.17 (Fri)

First held in 1949 due to the efforts of a youth group in Yurihama’s Matsuzaki area, the Suigōsai festival was named to give thanks to the god of Lake Tōgō for providing safety and bountiful catches for its fishermen. Suigōsai has come to be a representative summer festival for the San’in region with activities including Rōnin dancing, fireworks over Lake Tōgō, stalls, and setting paper lanterns afloat.
