Row of Palms ・ トウジュロの並木

2015.06.05 (Fri)

The former town of Hawai promoted itself as a tourist destination, coining the phrase “the Hawaii of Japan.” Over 500 island palms currently line the road that leads to Hawai’s hot spring resort, giving a tropical feel to the area. Compared to the tall evergreen palm trees, these palm trees are characterized by shorts stalks and small unbending leaves. In the springtime, bunches of yellow flowers adorn the tops of these palm trees.

  1. I took a very brief drive through here with a friend last September. The palm trees left quite an impressive on us both!
