2014.12.18 (Thu)

Nicknamed Crane Lake as its shape resembles a crane spreading its wings, Lake Tōgō boasts a circumference of 12km, a surface of 4km2, and depths ranging from 2-7m. This brackish lake is considered one of the San’in Region’s most beautiful scenic lakes and is home to a diverse assortment of sea life, including carp and freshwater clams, as well as ducks and other migratory birds during the winter.. The thermal spring in the center of the lake provides the hot spring water for both Hawai Onsen on its western bank and Tōgō Onsen to the south.
