With an emphasis on historic relics found in the Nagase Takahama area, this museum displays a collection of ancient artifacts unearthed in the area spanning between Lake Tōgō and the Sea of Japan. Among those are clay haniwa figures in the shape of a house and armor, which are exhibited on the first floor of the museum. These have been designated as important cultural assets of Japan and truly leave a lasting impression on the visitor.
