2014.05.08 (Thu)

This specialty fruit from the Togo area grows to a five centimeter diameter oval shaped large plum. Between middle and late March, the flowers turn the ume orchards light pink and perfume the air with a sweet soft fragrance. These large plums are popular in food processing, and are shipped out in June. In recent years with the boom in health foods, ume juice has been produced as well, and is loved by people of all ages.
