Hashizu fort

This is the last fort left of eight built by the Tottori clan at the end of the Edo period, when tensions were rising with many foreign countries. Although the remains have been eroded by waves, it is thought that the fort had a hexagonal shape. It was designated a historical landmark in 1988, and is now part of Hawai-Togo Seaside Park.
